Welcome to Field Engineering we are based in Poole in Dorset and since 1968 we have developed a range of services and support for our customers to ensure products are completed to the desired specification and on time.

We offer a sub-contract service in the following areas:

Coded Welding in Mild Steel and Stainless steel

We are capable of manufacturing in Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Brass, Aluminium and Plastic to virtually any design.

We have been ISO9000 accredited for over 20 years. Our skilled welders are coded to BS EN 15614-1:2004, and are capable of welding in mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.

July 2012

Field Engineering has just installed another Hurco Vertical Machining Centre. Our fourth Hurco machine (VMX30HT) is now up and running with a 15,000 rpm high torque motor, and a Nikken 4th axis unit fitted. 

May 2012

Field Engineering have just ordered another Doosan Puma 2600M 3 axis CNC Turning Centre. This brand new machine will be delivered in May and is intended to increase our turning capacity in order to satisfy our customers requirements.

Due to our increasing order book we have employed two new members of staff. These consist of a CNC Miller, and a Mechanical Inspector.

12th March 2012

Field Engineering has just purchased a Doosan Puma 2600LY 4 axis CNC Turning Centre. This brand new machine nows allows us to offer Y axis milling as part of our turning capabilities. Field Engineering now have four Daewoo/Doosan Turning Centres for medium to high volume batch production.

Field Engineering have just purchased anothr Haas TL2 CNC toolroom lathe. This perfectly complements our existing TL2 lathe and increases our ability to produce high quality, tight tolerance, prototype and/or small batch production parts.

Field Engineering has taken on a new Engineering Apprentice. Our new Apprentice Steve Ireson has been selected to udertake a two year training scheme with Paragon ITE which will qualify him to and NVQ level 3. We firmly believe in the need to train young apprentices in order to keep the skills in the engineering sector for the future.

Field Engineering has just purchased another Doosan/Daewoo Turning Centre. The Puma 240M is a 3 axis turning centre with live tooling. To compliment this machine we have also purchased another 1.5 metre Hydrafeed bar feed unit.

5th November 2009

Field Engineering has just purchsed another Hurco Vertiical Machining Centre. The new VMX30m is a 3 axis machine capapble of 760 x 510 x 610mm travel. This complements Field Engineering's existing VMC range well, enabling Field Engineering to offer even more capacity and a faster turnaround on a wide variety of milling services. The Hurco control has proven to be a fast and efficient programming systems giving us the ability to machine one off or batch quantites with minimal set up time.
